Vintage Smiths Sectric Electric Bakelite mantel / table clock working

A brown bakelite clock, it stands around 12cm tall by 11 wide and 6cm deep.

On the clock is written :-

MADE IN ENGLAND

On the back is :-

200/250V

MADE UNDER ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING PAT

MADE IN ENGLAND

It is in great condition for its age, the bakelite has no chips or scuffs, the glass is clear and the dial clean.

The alarm functions, and sounds when first plugged into to indicate a power cut has happened.

It does work, but would advise a simple rewiring to bring it up to current standards.
