Vintage 1940's Student microscope, card box - Eclipse England - working

A red paper covered card box measuring ~ 18 x 9 x 7 cm.

It opens to reveal a cast metal framed microscope, with a black painted finish.

On the frame is written :

The optics seem sound - and the mirror is un-foxed.

The slide holders have some surface corrosion, but otherwise in great condition for its age.

Also in the box is an old slide (broken in two - held together with modern Sellotape) - with :-

and a rusty razor blade in a paper packet that reads :-

MADE IN ENGLAND

The microscope works, the box is tatty and has a split down one seam.
