A lovely silver lapel badge with :-

To the back is a hallmark dating it to 1938.
The makers mark JC shows it to be manufactured by the Royal Mint with JC being the Initials of Sir John Herbert McCutcheon Craig, Deputy Master and Comptroller of the Royal Mint from 1938.
It measures ~26mm x ~40mm and weighs in at ~9.5g.
There are two buttons included:-
one at ~24mm in diameter with :-
CHENEY
B'HAM
on the back.
The other ~16mm in diameter with :-
BUTTONS LTD
B'HAM
on the back.
All might benefit from a clean and or a polish.
